Star of the future makes the grade

A young motor apprentice from Ealing is celebrating the reward of three year’s hard work and training after qualifying as a technician.

Daniel Barrowclough, aged 22, joined West London Volkswagen in 2008 after studying at Richmond College and has since been identified as a star of the future by his automotive peers.

Over £40,000 has been invested into Daniel’s training to become an official Volkswagen technician, and he is now being fast-tracked to reach the top of his profession as a master technician.

Shaun Kirby, brand manager at West London Volkswagen, said: “I’d like to send my sincerest congratulations to Daniel on behalf of everyone here at West London Volkswagen.

“He’s an incredible talent with a tremendous work ethic and attitude. It’s for that reason we’ve fast-tracked him onto the master technician programme.”

Speaking of his achievements, Daniel said: “I’m very proud to have qualified as this is the only job I have ever wanted to do. I can’t wait to start training as a master technician, I’m really looking forward to learning new things.

“I’d like to thank everybody at West London Volkswagen for their advice and support over the past three years, it’s really helped my career.”
