Last night saw Hollywood heavyweights come together for the 92nd Academy Awards. Despite the predictable nominees, the ceremony itself proved to be quite a showstopper. Fans of Jennifer Lopez were quick to share their disappointment when the actresses / singer failed to get nominated for her role in Hustlers. So much so that Twitter erupted with several hilarious Oscar-stealing memes. Our favourite:

Once Upon A Time…In Hollywood star Julia Butters revealed on the red carpet that she wasn’t a fan of the Oscars food. The 10-year-old quickly became a meme sensation for her packed lunch. Turkey sandwich anyone?

Eminem made a surprise appearance at last night’s Oscars to perform ‘Lose Yourself’. However, his impromptu performance left celebrities such as Idina Menzel, Brie Larson and Martin Scorsese a little confused.
We are still left wondering why Eminem was there in the first place.
A paw-some appearance from James Corden and Rebel Wilson
James Corden and Rebel Wilson just walked out onto the #Oscars stage in full CATS regalia, holding up their hands in kitty-paw pose. And our entire room full of ceremony-watchers went “OH NOOOOOOOOOOOOO” in a single collected breath of awestruck horror. pic.twitter.com/mSwN9BoZ3b

The film cats quickly became a Box Office cats-tastrophe, but that wasn’t going to stop James Corden and Rebel Wilson from resurrecting their characters. The thought of being handed an Oscar from the Cats stars dressed as cats left the internet in ‘hiss-sterics’.
