Affordable housing provider opens the door to Volkswagen

A Maidenhead van centre has secured an ongoing contract with one of the region’s leading property providers.

Cordwallis Volkswagen Van Centre has provided Housing Solutions Limited with a combination of Volkswagen Transporters, Crafters and Caddy Maxis to upgrade the fleet of vehicles used by its maintenance team.

Housing Solutions owns and manages over 6,000 affordable homes in the South East and works closely with residents and local authority partners to provide value for money residential properties and services.

The company, which won the National Housing Maintenance Forum’s award for the most innovative direct labour organisation in 2010, will use the Volkswagen fleet in its 24-hour repairs service.

Mark Warner, Housing Solution’s service area manager, said: “The extensive Volkswagen range is well suited to carry our engineer’s maintenance and repair equipment, while providing high levels of performance and reliability, allowing us to comfortably meet the needs of our tenants.”

“We were very pleased with the efficient service from Cordwallis who were very professional in facilitating our fleet expansion.”

According to John Harkin, Cordwallis’ brand manager, creating and sustaining local business partnerships is a top priority.

“Supporting strong local businesses has been a key business focus and our work with Housing Solutions is an excellent example of this. We look forward to strengthening our relationship in the future.”

Cordwallis has sites in Maidenhead, Heathrow and Oxford which supply the full range of both new and used Volkswagens commercial vehicles. For further information on, call Maidenhead’s Cordwallis Van Centre on 01628 622264.
