The Royal treatment for staff in Yeovil

Darts enthusiasts at Screwfix’s head office were thrilled when Premier League darts player, James Wade, turned up in Yeovil last week. He even met the Queen (of Screwfix that is!).

WD-40, one of James Wade’s main sponsors, invited him to the Screwfix call centre to meet the team and challenge them to an exciting darts competition.

The hardware trade retailer, ran an in-house darts competition and the winner, Carol ‘the Queen of Darts’ Snelling took on James ‘the Machine’ Wade. Unfortunately, she was dethroned but said: “It was great fun playing darts with James and an experience I won’t soon forget.”

The world number three darts player, who is currently playing in the Premier League Tournament on Sky Sports every Thursday, played matches against staff and shared his secrets on hitting the bullseye.

Brand manager of WD-40, Amy Long said: “It’s fantastic we could brighten up the working day for the hard working staff at Screwfix.

“We visited staff at the centre with James last year and ran the nine dart challenge, which was enjoyed by all.”

The overall 9-dart challenge winner of the day was reigning champion from last year, Mark Cobb, who walked away with a professional dart board, signed by James Wade.
