Connect’s digital team is once again demonstrating its ability to deliver end-to-end digital projects with the launch of its latest campaign, a new website for the Jaguar Academy of Sport.
The Jaguar Academy of Sport is a long term commitment by Jaguar to British sport. The goal is to recognise, celebrate and inspire the next generation of British sporting heroes by giving them the opportunity to work with and learn from the best British sportsmen and women. Patrons of the initiative are all iconic within their chosen sports and include David Beckham, Dame Kelly Holmes and Sir Ian Botham.
Connect’s digital account director Marcel Britsch led the project, working with digital producer Sukhi Kaur. Marcel said: “We created the proposition ‘every champion needs a champion’ and based on this, we have designed and built a website that showcases this fantastic initiative.
“Alongside Jaguar’s six patrons, there are also 15 ambassadors including Rio Ferdinand, Lee Westwood and Jessica Ennis. Our new site showcases these fantastic sporting heroes and demonstrates Jaguar’s commitment to supporting sports stars of the future.
“Going forward, social medial will also play an important role in the strategy with Jaguar using Facebook, YouTube and Twitter to tie the Academy of Sport tightly into the wider digital space.”
Connect has worked with Jaguar Land Rover for several years, working on the company’s global website, building elements of its website and creating an iphone car configurator.
Jose Espinosa, Connect’s director of digital services, said: “The Jaguar Academy of Sport website is a further demonstration of our capabilities in delivering innovative digital solutions. Connect is lucky to have some of the best digital brains in the business and it’s fantastic to be recognised for this again.”
