A Birmingham business has given a boost to a junior football club by confirming a shirt sponsorship deal.
Volkswagen Van Centre Birmingham has provided new kits for Wyrley Lions under-10’s, which will be worn throughout the 2011/2012 season.
The team’s manager, Jon Matthews, explained that the sponsorship deal had given the team a huge boost.
He said: “The boys are delighted with their new kits and very proud to be associated with Volkswagen Van Centre Birmingham and the Volkswagen brand.
“They all worked exceptionally hard last season and this new sponsorship deal is a reward for their efforts.”
The team has weekly training sessions at Moat Hall Primary School in Great Wyrley.
Mark Woodhouse, head of business at Volkswagen Van Centre Birmingham, said: “We feel it’s important to show our support to local groups that serve our community and Wyrley Lions has been doing this for many years.
