Movember challenge for sports stars

WD-40’s sports stars’ James Wade and Phil Glew will take part in some hair-raising activity this month by growing moustaches to support Movember, the national charity that raises funds for prostate and testicular cancer.

Throughout November the world number three darts player, James Wade, and British GT racing driver Phil Glew will grow moustaches in pledge of their support for Movember,

WD-40 Multi Use product, which sponsors both James and Phil, will give a donation to Movember for every match James wins in the upcoming Grand Slam darts tournament, potentially boosting the charity by £700.

WD-40’s brand manager, Amy Long said: “We’re always happy to support our ambassadors. James and Phil are great guys and it’s brilliant to see them supporting a worthy cause.”

Fans of James and Phil can keep track of their progress by ‘liking’ the original WD-40 UK Facebook page or following on Twitter, where pictures will be posted of James and Phil’s progress.

James commented: ““I’m delighted to be supporting such a worthwhile cause. If the guys and I can help drive awareness in such a busy, high profile darts month, it’s the least we can do.”

Phil added: “I don’t know what I’m going to look like by the end of the moth but it doesn’t matter because Movember is a fantastic charity and I’m thrilled to be a part of it.”
