A car salesman in Wigan is set to publically shave his moustache in a Volkswagen showroom after enduring a month of itchiness for Movember.
Simon Hall, who works at Corkills in Wallgate, followed a nationwide trend by growing facial hair throughout November to raise money for research into prostate and testicular cancer.
All Movember participants start with a clean shaven face on 1st November and continue to grow their moustaches for the remainder of the month.
To celebrate the 27-year-old’s fundraising efforts, staff at the dealership have arranged for Simon’s moustache to be removed in the car showroom, where colleagues and customers are invited to contribute to his donation.
Reflecting on his facial hair, Simon said: “It’s been very interesting to see people’s reactions to my moustache. I must confess that I look ridiculous, but it’s all for a good cause.
“I can’t say I’m particularly looking forward to publically shaving it off, but the staff at Corkills have been incredibly supportive and are always looking for ways to help out with charity.
“I’d like to thank everyone who has supported me and donated money, it’s really made a difference and very much appreciated.”
Corkills will be shaving Simon’s moustache off at their Wallgate showroom on 2nd December.
