A Leicester retailer has appointed a new automotive professional to head up the business.
Volkswagen’s Leicester Van Centre, situated on St Margaret’s Way, has promoted Stuart Carpenter to the position of sales manager to lead its commercial vehicle team. He joined Leicester Van Centre in March 2010 as salesman and within three months, was crowned senior sales man.
Stuart (37) who lives near Market Harborough, will be responsible for strengthening the Volkswagen brand and establishing new and maintaining existing relationships with businesses and van operators in the area.
Speaking about his new role he said “I am looking forward to the fresh challenge and working with commercial vehicle operators in the area.
“As part of my new role, I have also joined Volkswagen’s two-year training programme which will equip me with the skills to become head of business, which is my ultimate career ambition.
“My challenge is to expand the business and put Leicester Van Centre firmly on the map. I’m looking forward to getting my teeth into this new role and progressing through the Volkswagen ranks.”
