It’s a real case of ‘friends reunited’ for one Macclesfield company.
The three friends in question all worked together at the Wilmslow Ford dealership seven years ago but then lost touch as their careers went off in different directions.
Now they are back together again at Macclesfield Volkswagen retailer Gilbert Lawton and reliving old memories.
The boss, 48-year-old brand manager Nick Ashton, has been at the company since 2008 but has just been joined by sales manager Dean Ashworth and sales executive Barry Hamilton.
Nick, from Prestbury, said: “It’s great to be working with them both again after so long.
“Like so many people we all lost touch when we went our different ways in the motor industry, but now it’s just like old times.
“Since they arrived here we have spent a lot of time catching up and I’m sure in between work there will be a lot more things from the past that we will reminisce about.
“One of the most important factors of being reunited is we help each other to ensure customers receive the service possible.”
Dean, aged 31 from Tytherington, Barry aged 44 from Wilmslow and Nick have 45 years experience between them in the motor trade.
Their time together at Wilmslow was between 2003 and 2005.
