Barcode Warehouse stay local for latest fleet delivery

A Nottinghamshire van centre is boosting its links with a local business, after signing a deal with the UK’s leading Auto-ID services company.

The Barcode Warehouse Limited has taken delivery of five new Volkswagen Caddy vans from Gilder Van Centre in Newark.

The vans were part of a vehicle replacement programme for the Newark based business. The fleet will be used by their service engineers across the UK.

Dave Waugh, The Barcode Warehouse’s service manager, said: “It’s vital we choose the right vehicles for the work the company does, taking into account safety, comfort and commercial features.

“Our service engineers cover the whole of the UK so it is important that our vehicles are reliable. We have been using Volkswagen’s since 2005 and have been impressed with their performance so when the time came to replace those vehicles we looked to VW first.

“We returned to Gilder Van Centre as we can be confident of their service.”

Louise McCormack, general manager at Gilder Volkswagen Van Centre, said: “This is another fantastic fleet sale for the company and provides evidence of our excellent customer standards.

Gilder Van Centre in Newark, which was formerly Heron Van Centre, was acquired by Gilder Group in 2011. The business has undergone a complete refurbishment and offers the full Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles range along with a fully equipped workshop for service or repair.

The Barcode Warehouse specialise in the provision of Auto-ID hardware, software, enterprise mobility managed services and associated products and accessories.
