A Neyland business served up its first Macmillan coffee morning on Thursday (28 September) raising over £250 for the charity.
To help launch its first ever event for Macmillan, the staff at Sinclair Volkswagen on Havenbridge Road had their own bake-off to ensure there would be enough homemade delights for customers.
Over 60 people attended, with brand manager, Mark Chesterton, hailing it a great success.
He said: “We are delighted with how successful the event was and feel our showroom space provided the ideal venue.
“The staff really got behind the coffee morning after spending much of their own time baking 150 creations including sponges, cupcakes and pastries to help boost our fundraising efforts.”
Mark added: “This is the first time the Sinclair Volkswagen Group has supported this worthy cause and following on from our success we are delighted to announce that our other five Volkswagen sites will host a Macmillan coffee morning next year.”
