CUSTOMER LOYALTY GOES A LONG WAY FOR VOLKSWAGEN

A Stowmarket business celebrates its most loyal customers of all time.

Local man, David Fenner recently picked up his 17th Volkswagen car from Barnards Volkswagen having purchased his cars from the retailer for nearly 30 years.

David confirmed that he has never bought any other make of car in his life saying: “If it’s not broken why fix it?! That’s what I say! I’ve always been completely satisfied with Volkswagens; they have served me very well over the years.”

David is not alone in his admiration of Volkswagens, it seems that the craze runs through his whole family with three of the cars being bought for his daughter Suzy, a further three for his wife Anne, and one for his son Andrew. David added: “It’s what we know best. My wife has never driven anything other than a Volkswagen.”

David’s son Andrew recently broke the pattern purchasing another brand of vehicles but confirmed that he made the purchase to cope with his growing family needs saying: “Buying a different brand in my family is a big decision and I must admit I really miss my Volkswagen, who wouldn’t?!”

Blue is a favourite  colour for David with nine of the 17 cars purchased,  including his latest purchase all being specifically chosen in blue. “Out of all the cars I’ve bought my favourite has to be the new Golf estate I bought recently. It is very impressive.” He exclaims, “Having picked it myself, I’m glad I managed to get it in my favourite colour.”

Barnards Volkswagen, based on Station Road East in Stowmarket in Suffolk has been looking after  Mr Fenner for over 30 years. Gary Halestrap, Brand Manager at Barnards commented:  “Providing excellent service to our customers is second nature here at Barnards and it is great to see loyal customers like Mr Fenner come back again and again.

“We work very hard to build good relationships with our customers and endeavour to deliver the whole package for them from their very first visit to the showroom to the delivery and ongoing maintenance of their vehicles.”
