Law firm Higgs & Sons has announced that it will sponsor two business awards in 2013, further underlining its commitment to support companies in the region.
Higgs will once again be a headline sponsors at the Express & Star Business Awards. The firm will sponsor the small to medium sized business category in the awards for companies that employ between 20 and 200 people. Higgs has supported the awards for a number of years and joins sponsors including Carvers and Jaguar Land Rover. The awards final takes place on May 16, 2013.
Alongside the Express & Star awards, Higgs will also sponsor TheBusinessDesk.com Masters awards, which recognise success in innovation, international trade, manufacturing, social responsibility and leadership. This is the second year that Higgs has supported the online business publication’s awards. Higgs will sponsor the newcomer award at the event which also takes place on May 16, 2013. The three shortlisted finalists for the awards are sports nutrition drink Grenade UK, telecoms business ROAR and social media specialists VoxPopMe.

The firm has also recently celebrated the achievements of one of its own lawyers. Jamie Partington has been announced as Birmingham Young Legal Professional of the Year. Jamie works in Higgs’ corporate department.
