Sixth success for site manager

A leading regional housebuilder is celebrating after one of its site managers was awarded a prestigious NHBC Pride in the Job Quality Award – for the sixth time in nine years.

Brent Titlow was recognised for his work at the Persimmon Homes Sycamore Park development in Mildenhall.

Andrew Fuller, managing director of Persimmon Homes Anglia, said: “A Pride in the Job Award is the highest industry accolade a site manager can receive. Persimmon Homes demand the very highest standards of quality and service for customers, and Brent’s contribution – supported by assistant site manager Lee Cromack – is a superb example of this philosophy.

“We are very proud that one of our team has had his outstanding professionalism rewarded with this national recognition and eagerly await the NHBC’s awards luncheon in September to find out if Brent also receives his fifth Seal of Excellence Award.”

Brent, who lives near Norwich, attributes his success to his “determination to build a quality product and an eye for detail.”

He added: “Sycamore Park has been a really good site, with a great bunch of tradesmen. It has been a pleasure to run.”

Brent, aged 44, has worked on a variety of Persimmon Homes developments during 16 years with the company. Away from work he likes to spend his time motor racing and windsurfing.

The NHBC (National House-Building Council) Pride in the Job Quality Award identifies the unique role of site managers in the construction of new homes from start to finish and who influence the overall quality of the finished product.

Pete Watton, Regional Director for NHBC, the UK’s leading standards setter and warranty provider for new UK homes, said: “Winning a Pride in the Job Quality Award is a major achievement for any site manager. Brent is at the top of the game, ensuring that the homes created are of the highest standards. Brent can be truly proud of this accolade.”

“For over three decades, Pride in the Job has been a foundation of NHBC’s work to improve housing standards, encouraging best practice on site. The homes our Quality Award winners have built are without doubt among the best in the UK.”

The awards programme is the only UK-wide competition dedicated to recognising site managers who achieve the highest standards and it has been instrumental in driving up the quality of new homes for 32 years, ensuring homeowner confidence in award-winning developments. Quality Awards are selected by NHBC Building Inspectors and Inspection Managers, who judge winners on meticulous and consistent attention to detail, quality of workmanship on the site, excellent leadership, technical expertise and robust health and safety processes.

Persimmon Homes Anglia is delivering quality new homes throughout Norfolk and Suffolk.
