A fine romance at Willow Chase

A young couple from Leighton Buzzard proved that home really is where the heart is when they staged their wedding reception in their front garden.

Stephanie Mason, 25, and Ben Harris, 34, moved into Willow Chase a year ago and love their new home so much that they decided it would make the perfect setting for their vintage fete themed reception.

With the agreement of their neighbours and housebuilder Charles Church Stephanie, a secondary school teacher and Ben, who works as a commercial fire and security consultant, set up a marquee on the shared driveway in front of their house, creating a charming ‘village green’ effect with bunting and picnic tables.

Stephanie said: “Our wedding was just as we dreamed it would be – a perfect day shared with our family, friends and neighbours. We are real home-bodies, so holding the reception here was very special to us.”

Debbie Box, sales manager for Charles Church (Midlands), added: “Stephanie had planned every detail of her day and the overall effect was breath-taking. Everything tied in with the vintage fete theme – from the coconut shy and tin can alley games in the garden, to the ‘cake stall’ and ice cream van.

“At Charles Church we pride ourselves on not just building new homes but on creating communities. Stephanie and Ben’s wedding is a brilliant example of this.”
