Wrexham business boosted by expert’s arrival

A Wrexham business has received a boost after one of the region’s most experienced automotive professionals joined its senior management team.

Dave Harries, has accepted the role of service manager at Volkswagen Van Centre Wrexham, bringing with him 27 years of experience.

The 43-year-old, from Overton, began his career with the army in 1986, training as a technician and working on the wide range of military vehicles, particularly tanks.

Following 15 years of service, Dave has held a number of positions in the automotive servicing sector as he continued to progress his career outside of the armed forces.

Speaking about his new position, Dave, said: “I’m delighted to have joined the Volkswagen Van Centre Wrexham team.

“I understand the importance of our need to deliver the very highest level of aftercare service and I look forward to introducing new practices to further complement the existing strengths of the business.

“Following the recent redevelopment of the van centre we have the very latest technology and equipment to deliver a first class service.”

Dave will be in charge of two technicians, a service advisor and an apprentice, although he hopes to extend the team further in the future.

Volkswagen Van Centre Wrexham’s, sales manager, Alan Austin, said: “Dave’s vast experience within the motor industry and his extensive training while in the Army, mean he was the perfect choice to help ensure customers receive the very best service.”
