Wrexham company’s £1.2m redevelopment is complete

A Wrexham business has just completed a £1.2m redevelopment of its facilities.

Work on Wrexham Volkswagen and its adjoining Volkswagen Van Centre began in April and was completed earlier this month.

Following the significant investment by parent company Swansway Garages, the sites on Rhosrobin have been transformed into a state-of-the-art Volkswagen retailer and van centre.

The new development now includes the latest digital showroom and a 10-car display of the full Volkswagen range, which includes the latest Golf VII and new award winning city car, the up!

Brand Manager at Wrexham Volkswagen, Jane Hargreaves, said: “The level of investment shows our commitment to continue providing Wrexham with two key employers, and deliver to customers the level of service expected from such a prestigious brand.

“The workshop will have extra ramps to improve the time in which customers’ cars are with us.

“For customers buying a new car, we now also have a dedicated handover bay, to ensure each person has a detailed lesson on their car and its functions.

“I’d like to thank all of our customers, both cars and vans, for being patient while the work was carried out, and I hope they all feel the benefits in the near future.”

Extra customer parking is also being made available with iPad stations inside the car showroom for customers to create their very own vehicle.

Meanwhile, customers to the van centre will notice an increased space, allowing three commercial vehicles, including the increasingly popular Amarok.

Head of business at Wrexham Volkswagen Van Centre, Alan Austin, said: “We have invested a significant amount of money to greatly improve our facilities to make life much more comfortable for customers.

“The finishing touches have just been completed and it’s great to see the hard work over the last five months has paid off.”
