A Crewe business has boosted its senior management team by appointing a respected motoring expert.
Marc Holmes, originally from Altrincham, is the new service manager at Crewe Volkswagen, bringing with him more than 24 years of experience in the automotive industry.
Responsible for the ongoing liaison with customers and management of the sales and technical teams, 41-year-old Marc joined the team on Weston Road during the summer and has settled well into the role.
Marc, who is married with a son and a daughter, joined the trade as an apprentice technician straight from school and has steadily worked his way up. He said the trickiest part of the journey was actually securing his apprenticeship.
“It’s been a great career, hard work but very rewarding,” he said. “By far the hardest step was getting onto the technician apprenticeship course to begin with, but from that moment on, I never looked back.
“I am delighted to have joined such a highly trained and motivated team of Volkswagen experts at Crewe VW and have been made to feel very welcome from the start.
“My main focus will be to strengthen the existing good customer service and develop a strategic focus that puts customer’s needs at the heart of everything we do.”
Ben Gilbert, brand manager at Crewe, is delighted with Marc’s appointment.
He said: “Marc has vast experience in the business and his expertise is a valuable addition to the team. His motoring knowledge and experience make him the ideal candidate to lead the team forward and to give confidence to our customers that they are our priority.”
