Leeds business pledges support for children’s charity

A Leeds motor dealership has pledged its support to a children’s charity for the second year running, raising funds to help sick, disabled and disadvantaged children throughout Leeds and West Yorkshire.

Following on from its delivery of £500 worth of ‘Mission Christmas’ gifts to needy local youngsters, Sytner Volkswagen Leeds, on Elland Road, will again make the Cash for Kids charity the main focus of its community activity.

John Steele, brand manager at Leeds Volkswagen, said: “Cash for Kids is an amazing charity which makes a huge difference to children in our area. We are proud to once again be supporting this cause, in association with 96.3 Radio Aire and Magic 828.

“Many of us have families of our own, so we are glad to be able to help, through a calendar of fundraising events through the year in the showroom and providing a gift drop-off point for the charity’s Mission Christmas collection every December.

“Last year we were pleased to be able to hand over £500 worth of toys and gifts to help the charity towards its total of bringing festive cheer to 15,375 children who otherwise might have woken up to no presents on Christmas morning.”

Cash for Kids delivers events and initiatives to make a significant difference to the lives of thousands of children every year. More information about the charity can be found at www.cashforkids.co.uk
