A Norfolk golf club is celebrating after teeing up a partnership deal with a local business.
It’s the second successive year that Kings Lynn Volkswagen have given their support to Swaffham Golf Club which sees local golf pro, Alan Wright continue to drive a Kings Lynn branded Volkswagen in and around Norfolk.
The deal means the lucky golf pro gets a brand new car every six to eight months to drive to and from tournaments, with his current motor being a Mark 7 Golf.
The Bergen Way retailer, which initially joined forces with golf pro Alan Wright in the summer of 2013, has now expanded the partnership to support the entire golf club.
“Kings Lynn Volkswagen are a fantastic company to work with. To have the backing of a respected local business is a dream come true.” Said Alan, “they recently provided a Volkswagen Golf Cabriolet for a weekend as a competition prize for a club member who hit nearest the pin at a recent charity tournament which went down a treat.”
Speaking about the sponsorship deal Alan said: “Attracting corporate partners to this extent is a tricky task for all golf clubs, so I am especially pleased to hear that our partnership with Kings Lynn Volkswagen is set to continue.
“The aim of the partnership is to develop both of our businesses in a mutually common market. We’ve noticed that many golfers buy Volkswagens and vice versa. This only goes to reinforce the fact that this really is the perfect partnership.”
