RESIDENTS INVITED TO CONSULTATION

Persimmon Lancashire is inviting local residents to give their views on a proposed new residential development on the edge of Poulton le Fylde.

The community is invited to comment on plans being proposed by Persimmon in partnership with Jones Homes for up to 600 properties ranging from two bedroom starter homes to five bedroom family houses.

A public exhibition is being held on Thursday 26th June, from 2-8pm, at Fylde Cricket Club on Moorland Road, enabling interested individuals to view the plans and speak to Persimmon and Jones Homes representatives who will be on hand to answer questions.

Mark Cook, managing director of Persimmon Homes Lancashire, said: “Together with Jones Homes we believe we can create a sustainable residential development, incorporating high quality homes in a carefully designed, attractive landscape.

“We want to give local people the opportunity to fully understand what we aim to deliver at Poulton le Fylde and allow them to air their views.

“Our aim is to create a range of housing to meet the needs of the local community and boost the regional economy both directly through the creation of jobs at the development and indirectly by supporting local shops and facilities.

“The land, at Garstang Road East, was identified for residential development through the local authority planning policy more than ten years ago and our plans take into account a range of environmental impact studies.

“A number of ponds throughout the development will ensure habitats for various species, and where possible we will retain the hedgerows that make up the boundary to the site and established trees to protect biodiversity.

“Modern sustainable methods will improve drainage on the site, to reduce flood risk, and we have carefully considered access for vehicles and pedestrians.

“We are committed to creating new homes and jobs where they are most needed and, as a responsible builder, we want to be certain that local residents have had a full opportunity to contribute to our plans.”
