Ipswich Volkswagen launch paper airplane competition

A Suffolk car retailer has come up with an ingenious way of keeping children entertained while their parents hunt for their dream Volkswagen at the retailer’s showroom throughout the school holidays.

Ipswich Volkswagen have painted a runway on the floor of their dealership to challenge children to see how far they can throw their paper airplanes in order to win weekly  prizes for the furthest flight.

Tim Hargraves, brand manager at Ipswich Volkswagen, said: “This is a fantastic opportunity for children to have some fun while their parents are looking for a new car and possibly win prizes for themselves as well.

“We’re giving away a number of prizes for winners of the furthest paper plane flight each week, with the overall prize being a £50 Toys R Us voucher which will be awarded towards the end of the holidays. We even have some templates in store ready for kids to fold if they don’t know how to make their own.

“Our staff have rigorously tested it and had their fun ensuring it is just right for anyone who wants to have a go.

“While the kids are busy enjoying themselves one of our in-store experts will be on hand to show parents around and help them find their perfect car.”

Ipswich Volkswagen has a wide range of new and used cars in their showroom including the brand new Volkswagen Up.
