A lucky motorist from Hampton can’t believe her luck after winning a brand new car in a prize draw by the Inchcape Volkswagen Group.
Jackie Cooke, a water babies swimming instructor, received the new Volkswagen Take up! car at a handover event which took place on Thursday 13th November at Volkswagen Twickenham.
Upon receiving the keys, Jackie said she was thrilled to have won the new Volkswagen Take up!
Jackie said: “I actually found out that I’d won while I was out in fancy dress trick or treating. It was definitely a fantastic surprise!”
Volkswagen Twickenham was one of 20 Inchcape UK Volkswagen retail centres nationwide to launch the competition, with customers who purchased a new Volkswagen car throughout August and September automatically entered into the prize draw to win the Volkswagen Take up!
“I purchased my new Polo at the beginning of September and although I was told I’d be entered into the prize draw I never thought I’d win.
“I have never won anything before so this is really exciting, not only for me, but also for my mum.
The 46-year-old said she will be giving her the new car to her mother, Jenny Saul.
“I used to drive a Vauxhall Zafira but found I was spending a lot of money on petrol and when I came to change my car my mum recommended I buy a Volkswagen because over the years her Polo has always been particularly reliable.
“I wouldn’t have won this competition without her and although her Polo is reliable it is quite old now so I thought she deserved the prize. The Take up! is perfect for her.”
