MAN hits the bullseye with James Wade sponsorship deal

A leading truck manufacturer has propelled itself into big time darts by linking up with one of the sport’s biggest names.

Winner of eight major titles, James Wade will be sponsored by MAN Truck and Bus UK, as he continues his quest to add to his collection of big wins over the next 12 months. 

The partnership kicked off with an exclusive launch event at the company’s head office in Swindon today and will run through to 1 February 2016.

Under the deal Wade will sport the MAN logo on his shirt and will become MAN Truck & Bus UK’s ambassador, making personal appearances on behalf of the company at major trade events.

James Wade, also known as ‘The Machine’, boasts an impressive eight major titles, making him one of the most successful players in the history of the Professional Darts Corporation.

The Machine has won both the World Grand Prix and UK Open twice and has also triumphed in the Premier League, World Matchplay, The Masters and the Championship League.

The 31-year-old says he is thrilled to have secured sponsorship from MAN Truck & Bus UK as he contuinues to mount a challenge for a second Premier League crown.

Wade said: “I am over the moon to have the backing of such a well-respected brand and with the Premier League in full flow, this deal couldn’t have happened at a better time.

“MAN is well established as a leading truck brand across the world and darts has become a global sport in recent years so this is the perfect partnership.“
