A Wrexham motors business has agreed to sponsor a local charity which aims to make a difference to the lives of children.
Wrexham Volkswagen, on the Rhosddu Industrial Estate, Rhosrobin, has pledged £1,000 to the Empowering Youth Foundation (EYF) which helps develop life skills through a specially structured programme, helping to make a difference to local children.
Ffion Jones, Fundraising Manager of EYF said: “We are a charity based in Wrexham promoting youth development by teaching valuable life skills to children living in challenging circumstances using golf activities as the catalyst.
“The values of Wrexham Volkswagen tie in really well with the nine core values we teach through our programmes: courtesy, honesty, confidence, sportsmanship, respect, integrity, responsibility, perseverance and judgement.
“We are really grateful to the business for enabling us to launch four new life skills programmes in and around Wrexham, as well as enabling us to buy t-shirts for the children and new kit for our mascot Bear Skills.”
