Appointing a Redditch man to head up a Redditch motors business is already paying dividends.
Jon Hands has been appointed brand manager of Redditch Volkswagen on Washford Drive and brings with him 25 years of experience in the motor trade.
Jon, 43, joined Trust Group UK – which also has Volkswagen sites in Wolverhampton and Stourbridge – last November and is passionate about people and customer service.
He said: “There are so many positives about working from your home patch, and being a local man is already paying dividends.
“Old customers and people I have known for years are calling in to see me, and word has spread that there’s a Redditch man running Redditch Volkswagen.
“I’m really excited about my new role here, and am looking forward to the challenges ahead. I’m a people person and firmly believe that it’s all about generating the right team, and supporting that team’s desire to succeed.”
Jon joined the motor trade straight from school as, he says, a ‘trainee teaboy’. A solid, steady career saw him climb the ranks with just a handful of moves, and although he has worked with other brands, his move to the Trust Group is his first role with Volkswagen.

Married with two daughters, in his free time Jon enjoys most sports and is heavily involved with Worcester Rugby Club both socially and in a business capacity.
