Raising the social media roof for Persimmon Homes

Our Community Champions campaign for Persimmon Homes is now in its third month.

The campaign aims to give away £750,000 to good causes in 2015, with donations available to groups and charities of £1000. It’s really simple to apply, all you need to do is show you’ve already raised money yourself and then tell us in no more than 250 words why your group deserves a donation.

We’re promoting the campaign in traditional media as well as across all social platforms for Persimmon, which is the UK’s leading housebuilder. In May alone, 83 articles were published about the campaign and our ongoing social media work is currently responsible for over 10% of all website traffic.

Lee Southen, our group account director, is leading the campaign and also heads up Persimmon’s social media team. He said: “We’ve proved that done properly, social media can be a key driver in brand awareness and sales referrals. In May, over 10% of all traffic to www.persimmonhomes.com came from social media channels. Our focus for the second half of 2015 is to build on this and further drive engagement with potential house buyers for Persimmon and its other brands.”
