Housebuilder’s help for first time buyers

A leading housebuilder is offering free expert guidance for first time buyers and those moving up the property ladder.

Persimmon Homes Lancashire is hosting the Help to Buy advice weekend at its Brackenleigh development, in Carlisle, on 6-7 February (11am-6pm).

Diane Finch, sales director for Persimmon Homes Lancashire, explained how the Help to Buy weekend will inform buyers about how the scheme works.

“Our sales team are fully trained to offer potential buyers expert guidance and advice on Help to Buy and the new Help to Buy ISA, as well as practical assistance throughout the buying process.”

Diane added: “We look forward to welcoming house buyers during our advice days and we are confident that we have a buying incentive that will help them get on to, or moving up, the property ladder.”

The Help to Buy scheme is available to everyone, not just first time buyers, on new build homes in England up to £600,000. Buyers only need a five percent deposit to secure their home, and there is no limit on the annual household income.

The new Help to Buy ISA offers a tax-free payment from the government of up to £6,000 for couples buying their first home, and interest rates of up to 4% when saving for a deposit.

The Brackenleigh development is perfect for first time buyers and families, offering an unrivalled collection of two, three and four bedroom properties nestled in a peaceful countryside location just a stone’s throw away from the city of Carlisle.
