JESS FAST-TRACKED UP PERSIMMON LADDER

An ambitious Essex saleswoman has gone from trainee sales adviser to running her own site in just three months.

Jess Rodgers, 27, left the fashion industry to take up a new role as a trainee at Persimmon Homes Essex.

Bubbly Jess immediately impressed bosses – and just 12 weeks later she was put in charge of Persimmon’s The Boulevards site in Bata Fields, East Tilbury.

Jess, who lives in Harlow, said: “It was a pleasant surprise when I was told I was getting my own site. Most people have to train for longer before they get that opportunity.

“It was quick but I felt ready. The training was excellent and I’m one of those people who are eager to learn quickly.

“Things have been going well. The Boulevards is 299 units, so it’s not a small site and it’s always very busy.

“I love the job and we have a high rating of happy customers, which I’m really proud about. I’m looking forward to moving forward onto bigger and better things in the future.”

Almost 20 per cent of the new properties have already been sold and there have been 29 completions.

Jess said an average of two are being sold each week.

Kim Oates, head of sales at Persimmon Homes Essex, said: “Jess has done tremendously well. She joined us with a really positive attitude and an appetite to learn.

“After three months of training we knew that she was ready for the next step, and she has impressed again at The Boulevards.

“We are growing all the time and our staff numbers are increasing as well.

“Our trainee scheme is an important way for us to bring new people into the business.”

The Boulevards is made up of two, three and four bedroom homes, with good options for first time buyers, families and professionals.

The new show home and marketing suite is open seven days a week from 11am to 6pm.
