£750k investment for King’s Lynn business

A Norfolk motor business is investing £750,000 in the transformation of its premises in King’s Lynn.

Work is now underway on the extensive refurbishment at King’s Lynn Volkswagen site with a new state-of-the-art digital showroom and service department expected will launch in March 2016.

But the Bergen Way car retailer is keen to assure customers that it is ‘business as usual’ while the programme of work is underway.

Austin Seales, Brand Manager at King’s Lynn Volkswagen, said: “This is a significant investment by the Marriott Motor Group.  It shows a real commitment by us to the Kings Lynn business community, as well as being a significant investment in the local economy.”

Once complete the newly designed light and airy showroom will welcome customers into a relaxing environment where they can help themselves to refreshments at the bar then sit back in the comfortable new sofas in the meet and greet area where staff will assess their requirements before directing them to the appropriate Volkswagen expert.

The new 300 square metre showroom with the capacity to display 10 models from the Volkswagen range in addition to a dedicated handover bay.

Also included in the refurbishment is significant investment in our workshop, including; new ramps, tyre changer, wheel balancer and state of the art Volkswagen Approved Laser Wheel alignment equipment. Furthermore, we will have new signage, improved customer parking and a dedicated E-Station charging point for Electric cars.

Austin added: “I would like to assure customers that there will be no interruption to service during our refurbishment and that it is business as usual from us all. Our sales and servicing receptions are operating from portable cabins on site, and I thank our customers for their support and understanding during our re-fit.

“Both myself and my team are excited to see our new premises taking shape and we look forward to welcoming our customers to the VIP opening event in March 2016.”
