HOUSE BUILDERS NOMINATED FOR NATIONAL AWARDS

A regional house builder is celebrating after two of its staff were named regional finalists in the 2016 North West Regional LABC Building Excellence Awards.

Persimmon Homes, which has developments throughout Lancashire and Cumbria, was delighted when it heard that site agent Jordan Thomas, who works at Coastal Dunes in Lytham St Anne’s, had been named as a finalist.

Meanwhile, its sister brand Charles Church also has cause to celebrate as Liam Cook, who works at Foxglades in Buckshaw Village, has also made it to the regional finals to be held in April.

The LABC Building Excellence Awards recognise site agents who achieve the highest standards of construction and site management.

Managing director Mark Cook said: “It is fantastic news that both Jordan and Liam have made it through to the regional finals.  They were shortlisted after a robust process which has scrutinised their achievements at both developments.

“We work hard to get the right staff around us and it is great when you get confirmation that your staff are amongst the best.”

The judging process looks at various aspects including the way nominees successfully manage co-operative working relationships, site and project management, innovation and problem solving, and maintain a high level of performance.

Mark added: “What sets a winning site agent apart is the fact that they will go that extra mile to achieve quality. We all wish both Jordan and Liam the very best of luck.”

Persimmon Homes’ Coastal Dunes is a selection of two, three and four bedroom homes next to the golden sand dunes of Lytham St Anne’s. Charles Church’s Foxglades is an executive development of stylish homes in the popular Buckshaw Village, near Chorley.
