Rental agreement sees two MAN TGXs join 140-strong fleet.

Bosses at Suffolk-based Moores Refrigeration Controlled Transport Limited have signed a contact with MAN Rental to put two TGX 26.440 6×2/2 BLS tractor units on the road for 18 months.

The firm already runs two MANs out of its Devon depot.

Graham Moore, joint Managing Director of MRCT Ltd, said: “We have an excellent relationship with MAN Truck & Bus Exeter and we have been running two MANs there for a while and the staff have been happy with them.

“I think it is important that we as a business look around and keep our options open as to what is available to us. We own two thirds of our fleet and the remainder is based on rental.

“We will try the MAN TGXs on the 18-month contract and then we can evaluate them and their performance.

“They do appear to be good pieces of kit and I trust our staff in Devon. They’re good and will give me an honest opinion on how the units have performed.”

Graham Wardley, MAN Fleet Sales Manager, said: “We know Graham’s firm already has an excellent relationship with MAN Truck & Bus Exeter and this was a superb opportunity for him to try a new product from MAN.

“Hopefully the vehicles will prove their worth and we will be able to do more business with Graham across his fleet.”

MRCT Ltd was established in 1969 and operates out of five depots in Eye, Flixton, Willand, Scunthorpe and Holmewood, transporting temperature controlled produce.
