MAN brings expertise to FPS exhibition

Customers showcase vehicles at industry-acclaimed event

Leading manufacturer MAN Truck & Bus is once again showcasing its market-leading vehicles to industry professionals at Federation of Petroleum Suppliers Expo.

As a show sponsor, MAN will be exhibiting two of its TGS 6×2 Midlift tractor units and a TGM 15 tonne 4×2 rigid on stand number 63.

BP Oil UK will be supplying one of the TGS models – the last of 125 supplied to the company over the last nine months. The other is available for long-term rental through MAN Rental.

The TGM 15 tonne rigid is due to go in service with WP Group’s sister company Airport Energy Limited, as soon as the exhibition is finished.

Managing Director Geoff Hall said: “To work at our Heathrow operation this truck was chosen for its proven great payload, low cab height and step, maneuverability and optimum eco-friendly operating values. It is simply a great truck for the demanding and dynamic airport environment.”

In addition, the FPS main sponsor Road Tankers Northern (RTN) will be displaying a MAN TGM 26 tonne rigid it has supplied to County Oils Group.

Brian Edwards, for RTN, said: “The MAN TGM 26.340 6×2 with rear steer gives excellent returns in regard to the payload and fuel-efficiency. It has excellent maneuverability and class-leading low undladen weight for this sector.”

Mark Price, MAN International Key Accounts Manager, added: “FPS is an important exhibition for industry professionals and MAN is proud to be both a sponsor and exhibitor at the inaugural show in Liverpool.

“It gives us the chance showcase the vehicles that set us apart as market-leaders in the field, as well as promote our specialist fitment centre at MAN Truck & Bus Manchester which provides Haz.Chem operators with a unique engineering and service package.

“Through this state-of-the-art facility we undertake engineering projects across a broad spectrum of clients’ requirements and for Pet.Reg operators we can provide a very specific service. Onsite ATF means customers benefit from a true one-stop shop for engineering and service.

“This is enhanced by the HazMAN Dealer Network which boasts 21 locations, all with fully trained technicians, and a dedicated service management team. In addition, all sites are authorised to issue Safe Loading Passes and to perform Periodic Tank Testing.

“This specialist knowledge and service, combined with efficient and cost- effective trucks, to suit a range of customer demands, demonstrates MAN is clearly a market-leader in the field.”
