The Ashbourne Road business has supported the club for the last seven years and was delighted to renew its sponsorship for the current 2016/17 season.

For the first time, Rammie will benefit from a more spacious Transporter van to accommodate the extensive equipment required for his public appearances across the county.

Ashley Peden, head of partnerships at Derby County Football Club, said: “The van has become an integral part of delivering Rammie’s day-to-day commitments and without it we would have to decline many of his appearances.

“There is a growing demand for Rammie’s presence at schools and charity events and the Transporter van will not only enable us to carry more equipment but its striking graphics we certainly make an impact on the streets of Derby.”

David May, head of business at Imperial Commercials Volkswagen Van Centre Derby, added: “The sixth-generation Transporter was launched last year and continues to collect awards for its winning blend of flexibility, reliability and drivability.

“This vehicle is highly regarded across the sector so it seemed only right that Rammie should be driving the best.”
