A multi-award-winning site manager has earned himself two further industry accolades at the NHBC UK Housebuilding Industry Awards.
Terry Cole, who works for Charles Church South Midlands, was selected for his outstanding work at the Alderton Grange development in Tewkesbury.
The 58-year-old housing expert is no stranger to success having already accumulated 14 of the national awards in his 35 years’ service at Charles Church.
Terry was formally awarded a Pride in the Job Award in the summer after beating off stiff competition from 16,000 other site managers and was recently presented with the Seal of Excellence Award, a much- sought after accolade in the construction world.
The gong recognises the highest standards of excellence, with National House-Building Council inspectors judging winners on meticulous and consistent attention to detail, quality of workmanship, excellent leadership, technical expertise and commitment to the highest health and safety standards.
Terry said: “I was delighted and surprised to receive the award. I must admit I am proud to be building quite a collection of trophies now. I have always had the approach that I am not just building a house but building a home.
“A house is a big expense and I feel it’s important that the necessary care and attention is given to building quality homes. And as we are generally building in urban areas, the same respect needs to be given to the site’s surroundings.
“The Alderton Grange site is coming to a close and I will be moving on to managing the brand new Brockeridge Paddocks development in Twyning, where we will be building 58 homes.”
The awards coincide with Terry celebrating 35 years at Charles Church and he was very proud to highlight that two of his sons also work for the housebuilder.
