Leading manufacturer MAN Truck & Bus UK has delivered 17 units to Bibby Distribution as part of an order for 70 new vehicles, after securing a  new contract with the leading UK independent sugar confectionary supplier, Tangerine.

The long-standing MAN customer purchased the MAN TGX 26.460 Euro 6C vehicles as part of the company’s fleet expansion and renewal programme, which will see an order of 70 MAN vehicles delivered to Bibby through February to April this year.

Adam Purshall, head of fleet, said: “We have long been supporters of MAN vehicles with 450 currently in our fleet. We’ve found that time and time again, MAN have exceeded our requirements and given us the most in terms of reliability, uptime and fuel economy.

“We have an excellent relationship with MAN and adopt a  flexible  true partnership approach.

“The dealer network and after sales support are second-to-none and ensure they deliver value to our customers throughout their operational cycle.

“The TGX Euro 6 is well proven and established in our fleet with a high specifiction in line with our operational demands. A flexible deal through MAN Rental with excellent reliability, improved fuel efficiency and excellent driver acceptance makes it a natural choice for our fleet.

“We always take a full repair and maintenance package from MAN, and we use the dealer network across the UK. With a wide geographical spread of operations, it is key that dealers are located in the right places and our vehicles maintain the very best standards of safety and maintenance with a focus on uptime and maximizing technology.”

MAN key account manager Neil Waters secured the deal. He said: “Bibby are a long-standing MAN customer and it is a credit to the brand that they have shown such loyalty.

“The price and package have obviously measured up and we are confident that the performance of the TGX over the coming years will continue to speak for itself.”
