A woman from Surrey will be heading for a trip of a lifetime after landing £5,000 from a national competition held by Lookers Volkswagen, Skoda, Seat and Kia dealerships.
Ojone Stephen was entered into the competition after buying a new 67 plate Polo Match from Lookers Volkswagen Guildford last month during their ‘Summer of Love’ Event.
But little did she know that the purchase would see her drawn as the winner of a £5,000 travel voucher enabling her to take the holiday of her dreams.
Lookers Volkswagen, Skoda, Seat and Kia dealerships throughout the UK gave thousands of customers the chance to win the luxury holiday voucher, with buyers of a 67 plate vehicle entered into a draw.
Ojone, who works in Guildford in financial services, said when she was told of the news by sales executive Charlie Mott she almost hung-up.
She added: “I got a call telling me that I had won a £5,000 holiday. I thought it was a joke and I didn’t believe them – I almost put the phone down.
“But it was Charlie saying ‘no Ojone, you’ve won’. It’s amazing I’ve never won anything before.
“The team at Lookers Volkswagen Guildford has been fantastic throughout the whole process of buying my new car. The genuine happiness they showed when I won demonstrates just how warm they all are.”
Ojone says she needs time to think of all the places she would like travel but already has a couple of places in mind.
She explained: “I’ve always wanted to go to Barbados or New York City. Perhaps I’ll do one of them or maybe even both.
“I’m delighted and I can’t wait to jet off.”
