You may know, one of our clients is leading national housebuilder Persimmon Homes. As part of its continued PR programme, in March we launched the Healthy Communities campaign, which aims to support youth sport up and down the country.
Persimmon Healthy Communities will donate over £600,000 to support amateur youth sport in England, Wales and Scotland. The final 30 sporting groups will each receive at least £5,000, with two runners up getting £50,000 each and the overall winner a cool £200,000.
The housebuilder has donated £180,000 to provide kit and equipment to 240 sports team. After over 5,000 nominations from across the UK, we are now down to our final 30 sports groups.
It’s now down to the public to decide who will walk away with an amazing £200,000 to create their own local community sporting legacy.
So, we’re half way through the voting – how’s it looking? The campaign has delivered over 3,500 backlinks for the Persimmon website and social media referral rates to the Persimmon website are currently running at around 20%.
We’ve had over 130,000 online votes so far, the press is behind us, with front pages hits, and the celebrities are too – recognise anyone tweeting about our client?
