Pegasus Group marks anniversary with new appointment

Leading planning consultancy Pegasus Group has strengthened its central Birmingham office with the appointment of a new Director.

Keith Fenwick has joined the team as Regional Director, bringing with him more than 25 years’ experience in senior roles and an extensive knowledge of planning across the Midlands and beyond.

His appointment marks the first anniversary of the opening of the Group’s Birmingham office, based in the heart of the city’s thriving business district. The office is enjoying a real period of growth with the recruitment of more planners currently underway. Keith’s appointment will be followed by that of a new Associate early next year.

Keith said: “In the 12 months since the Central Birmingham office opened, the business has gone from strength to strength which is what has made it such an exciting opportunity to be part of.

“I am delighted to join Pegasus Group and be a part of the Group’s concerted and ambitious expansion plans. I will be working on a diverse portfolio of applications, appeals and local plan promotions, with a focus on delivery of clear and succinct client advice, in a timely manner.”

Keith has an outstanding track record of success in schemes consented at application, and where necessary at appeal with a portfolio of solid expert witness work for schemes ranging from several thousand homes to individual plots.

He joins from WYG Group where he was a Director in their Birmingham office working on a range of high profile projects across the region and beyond.

One of the Birmingham highlights of the past year is the permission gained on behalf of Manchester-based property investment company MCR Property Group to build more than 1,000 new homes and two landmark towers on Birmingham’s Monaco House complex.

Named New Monaco, the £275 million urban village will completely transform the seven-acre site on Bristol Street into a unique village community on the fringe of the city centre. Eleven apartment blocks ranging between 5 and 10 storeys will sit alongside two prominent towers of 26 and 29 storeys, to provide 1,009 homes, including 92 affordable private rental properties. Plans for the development also include a 7,588 sq. ft. residential hub and 16,285 sq. ft. of commercial space.

Pegasus Group has more than 280 skilled and experienced staff operating from 12 offices across the UK. The company’s services span the entire project process from planning through to design and delivery, specialising in planning, design, environment, economics and transport.
