The UK’s leading copper specialist, Metelec, has introduced a new brand identity as it looks to move from stockholder to supply chain partner.
The new brand identity was created by the team at 8848 and has been applied to all internal and external touchpoints.
Included within the scope of 8848’s work is a new website, social media identity, photography and stationery. The new brand is also extended to internal documents.
Charlotte Bennett, a partner at 8848 said the business worked closely with Metelec to achieve its aim of creating a brand which matches the business today but also promotes its ambitions for future growth.
“Metelec is a much different proposition today than when the old brand was created. The business is hugely successful and is also ambitious for further growth.
“It’s more important than ever for businesses to have a strong brand identity that sets them apart from the competition. A well-designed brand identity can help businesses communicate their unique value proposition and attract new customers.
“Metelec was a great business to work with. They were already achieving so much more than their current brand communicated. All we needed to do was create something which confidently reflected this growth and success.”
The new brand was launched this month.
Why is brand important?
Stand out from the competition
If you operate in a crowded marketplace, it’s essential to stand out and be instantly recognisable.
Build trust and credibility
A strong brand identity can also help businesses build trust and credibility with their customers. When customers see a brand that is consistent, professional, and reliable, they are more likely to do business with that brand.
Increase brand awareness
A well-executed branding campaign can help businesses increase brand awareness among their target audience. This can lead to more sales, as well as opportunities for partnerships and collaborations.
Create a positive customer experience
A strong brand identity can help businesses create a positive customer experience. When customers feel like they are interacting with a brand that they know and trust, they are more likely to have a positive experience.
Attract and retain top talent
In today’s competitive job market, businesses need to have a strong brand identity in order to attract and retain top talent. When potential employees see a brand that is exciting, innovative and values its employees, they are more likely to want to work for that brand.
Key elements of a strong brand identity
A clear and concise brand message
What do you want your brand to stand for? What makes your brand unique? Your brand message should be clear and concise, and it should be reflected in all of your marketing materials.
A consistent visual identity
Your brand’s visual identity should be consistent across all of your channels. This includes your logo, typography, colours, and imagery.
A strong brand personality
Your brand should have a personality that is reflected in its tone of voice, imagery, and overall messaging.
A memorable brand experience
Your brand should create a memorable experience for your customers, whether they are interacting with your brand online, in-store, or through other channels.
