National Apprenticeship Week

National Apprenticeship Week

8848 used National Apprenticeship Week 2024 to put our client Realise in the headlines.

The 8848 PR campaign, spearheaded by Sean Wozencroft, secured widespread media coverage throughout the week, generating headlines across a diverse range of publications, including regional radio, regional print press, leading automotive journals, and care and community titles. This consistent daily coverage effectively amplified campaign messaging and brand awareness.

Case Studies

At the heart of Sean’s campaign were solid case studies covering a wide range of apprenticeships. These included Terrence Farmer, who works in the rail industry and who is a mature apprentice. Ruby Rose, a 16-year-old care worker, just starting her career journey was also included, as was Thomas Shaw, a nursery practitioner. This case study stood out as only 2% of men work in this field.

National Apprenticeship Week celebrates the achievements of apprentices and the positive impact they have on the economy and communities.

This year’s theme was Skills for Life. The theme emphasised how apprenticeships offer valuable skills and knowledge that benefit individuals throughout their careers.

Realise is a leading provider of apprenticeships and adult education courses. Established over 35 years ago, they have a strong track record of helping individuals unlock their potential and achieve their career goals. The business offers a wide range of apprenticeships, from Level 1 to Level 5, across various industries, along with adult education courses in areas like English, maths, and digital skills.

Sean said that the use of case studies added credibility and trust to the Realise campaign.

“Unlike self-promotion, case studies offer independent validation of our claims. They showcase real-world success stories with tangible results, building trust and credibility with our audience. We used National Apprenticeship Week to tell stories through case studies and build an emotional connection with the audience.”
