UK training provider Realise enjoyed its most successful National Apprenticeship Week to date, achieving national headlines thanks to a strategic PR campaign led by 8848’s James Garrison.

The campaign effectively positioned Realise within its key sectors, resulting in over 60 pieces of press coverage ranging from BBC Breakfast to The Sun, many local BBC radio interviews and a slew of trade titles.

National recognition for Realise

Held annually, National Apprenticeship Week aims to raise awareness of the diverse benefits and opportunities apprenticeships offer. Realise which formed as an independent business in October 2020, aligns perfectly with this initiative, offering many programmes across sectors like healthcare, early years childcare, and transport. Realise, helping over 10,000 learners annually, is dedicated to empowering individuals to upskill, develop their careers, and contribute to the UK workforce.

Early years skills bootcamp takes centre stage

Leading the charge for Realise was the launch of its early years skills bootcamp. It’s designed to attract new individuals to the sector and expedite their training journey. 8848 secured coverage on prominent platforms like BBC Breakfast, BBC North West Tonight, The Sun, and numerous local BBC radio stations, along with trade and local outlets relevant to Realise’s focus areas.

First-of-its-kind initiative

The bootcamp is the first of its kind to be funded by the Department for Education. It offers free training to individuals over 19 who are not currently employed in the early years sector. Realise’s “apprenticeship accelerator” programme aims to connect 650 individuals with short courses over the next 18 months.
