Companies across the West Midlands have been invited to join a team building challenge in aid of leading sight loss charity Beacon.
The three-day trek in the Scottish Highlands will offer a test of character, leadership and teamwork, as well as raising vital funds to support people living with sight loss across the region.
Kelly Vickers, Beacon’s fundraising and event officer, said: “Outdoor team building events are a fantastic way for companies to energise their workforce, improve team bonding through a shared experience and inspire them to deliver better performance in their daily work.
“We are calling on groups from local companies to push themselves to the limit and tackle this spectacular and challenging 26-mile trek in the Scottish Highlands and Trossachs National Park.
“The event will leave participants invigorated and elated after pushing themselves through some of the most breathtaking scenery in the British Isles. And, of course, there is also the massive feel-good factor of knowing their efforts will directly improve the life of a visually impaired person in the West Midlands.”
The West Highland Way Trek is organised in partnership with specialists Venture Mor and takes place over the weekend of 18-20 September 2015.
Registration for the event costs £75 (non-refundable) with an additional fundraising target of £425 per person. The tour cost includes all meals, accommodation in expedition-style tents or tipis, camping equipment and full support from experienced Venture Mor leaders, drivers and cooks.
