A Yorkshire housebuilder has strengthened its expertise as it strives to build 500 new homes before Christmas.
Nicola Heap has joined the Persimmon Homes Yorkshire team as the company’s new field sales manager.
The 37-year-old is heading up developments in Scunthorpe, North Hykeham and the company’s flagship site in Doncaster, which will bring almost 900 new homes to the town over the coming years.
Nicola’s determination to succeed has seen her self-fund and successfully complete a degree in Estate Management, while working fulltime.
A former car sales woman, Nicola’s first steps in the housing industry were at a surveyors practice, progressing to a regional housebuilder as a sales advisor where she became the company’s ambassador for its social media activity as well as mentoring new recruits.
Speaking of her new role, Nicola said: “This is a fresh challenge and I feel very privileged to be managing the Warren Park development and the Hatchell Grange site in Doncaster, which is operated by Persimmon’s sister company Charles Church.”
“I believe my degree has given me an invaluable insight into the industry but it also made me realise my real passion was working with the public and selling.
“I feel I have gained a clear understanding of customers’ needs and how to effectively translate this into strengthening a business. I am looking forward to sharing this knowledge with my team.”
