Connect announces new managing director for marketing business

Connect Group is gearing up for further growth with the announcement of a new managing director for its marketing business.

Antony Green, who has been with the Connect Group for the last seven years and is a partner, will become managing director of Connect Marketing.

Rob Hampton founded the Connect Group in 1993. The business began with just one employee for six months and now there are over 100 specialists providing clients with the whole spectrum of marketing communications. Alongside Connect Marketing, the other businesses in the group are Connect PR, Connect Direct and PMA. The company has offices in Wolverhampton and London and has recently celebrated its best ever year.

Rob Hampton will take on a group role in the move, becoming group managing director. He said: “We have been hugely successful in organically growing the agency since we were founded in 1993.

“My new role will be a strategic one, looking at the next three to five years in our development. The time is right for us to now consider our growth and development to take the agency to its next stage. I am as ambitious now for the agency and what we can deliver as I was back in 1993.”

Antony Green, who joined Connect from Cogent Elliott, said of the appointment: “I genuinely love the advertising business and Connect is a great place to work with fantastic people. I’m extremely proud to be leading the marketing team and look forward to our future development.

Director of digital services, Jose Espinosa continues as a partner in Connect Marketing and Hazel Crawford-Upton remains as managing director of Connect PR, where she is a partner in the business with Rob Hampton.

Connect Group’s clients include Bentley Motors, Jaguar Land Rover, WD-40, Volkswagen, Goodyear Dunlop and Tarmac.
