Rockingham fans raise £4,000 for Breast Cancer Care

The HiQ fast fit network is praising fans of the Dunlop British Touring Car Championships for their generosity, after raising over £4,000 for Breast Cancer Care.

On their second fundraising visit to the championship this season, HiQ brought along their customary pink memorabilia to Rockingham, in a bid to increase the total and inch closer to their £100,000 target.

Thousands of fans visited the stall throughout the day to get hold of the iconic pink hats and blue foam spanners, each in return for a small donation.

A sea of pink and blue covered the grid, making it a truly successful day for everyone involved.

HiQ’s marketing manager, Geraldine McGovern, said: “After such a successful fundraiser at Oulton Park, I wasn’t expecting to raise this much at Rockingham.

“It is with great thanks to the fans, who really get into the spirit of fundraising and donate time after time.

“Thank you to everyone involved and we look forward to another pink extravaganza at Silverstone.”

HiQ have now raised over £75,000 for Breast Cancer Care in their Project Pink programme.

The HiQ team will be back at Silverstone to coincide with Breast Cancer awareness month and will be asking everyone to wear pink in support of the campaign.
