Ton-up HiQ celebrate a century in customer care

Leading fast fit retailer HiQ has hit a memorable milestone in its ongoing promise to be industry leaders in customer care, after its 100th fast fit technician became ATA accredited.

At the brand’s national franchise conference, Matt Robinson of HiQ Frome was congratulated for passing the qualification and accepted the award to mark HiQ’s unrivalled training milestone.

The voluntary assessment programme was launched by the network in 2010 through the HiQ Academy to boost consumer confidence in the services carried out at every one of its 150 centres.

Regulated by the Institute of Motor Industry, an ATA registered individual must pass a comprehensive and rigorous series of assessments and be bound be a code of conduct to deliver professional proof of technical competence and
professional responsibility.

The scheme is set up to recognise excellence in the automotive sector and HiQ pride themselves on delivering competency in all areas, driven through customer manager programmes and mystery shopping exercises.

Technician Matt Robinson, said: “I am really pleased to have passed this qualification and be acknowledged for my skills in the job.

“You don’t realise how much you know until you’re put to the test so it’s great to have the official recognition and be listed on the ATA website.”

HiQ fast fit manager, Stuart Carr, said: “This is a fantastic achievement for HiQ and one that shows our continued investment in training and professional development.

“Through HiQ Academy, our aim has always been to reassure customers that they are receiving the best technical and professional service, whichever centre they visit.

“We are proud to have reached our 100th accreditation and thanks to the acquisition of more training facilities, we are on track every technician within the network accredited by the end of 2012.”
