HiQ making charitable New Year resolution

It might be a bit early for New Year’s Resolutions just yet, but that hasn’t stopped the HiQ fast fit network from making a charitable one of its own.

The kind hearted brand is vowing to continue with the fundraising for Breast Cancer Care in 2012 and is promising to do all it can to raise the final £15,000 needed to hit the £100,000 target for the cause.

HiQ partnered with Breast Cancer Care in 2009 and has so far raised £85,000 through a number of fundraising activities, as revealed by motorsport legend Murray Walker at a recent pink themed fundraising dinner at the HiQ national franchise conference.

And having counted the coffers ahead of the New Year, retail marketing manager Geraldine McGovern has pledged to go the extra mile in hitting the six figure target.

She said: “We raised thousands more pounds for the charity this year through money raising events at British Touring Car Championship race weekends, through to charity auctions and fundraising themed events.

“We made a promise to hit the £100,000 total back in 2009 and it is brilliant to be stood here saying we have a cheque for £85,000 for everyone at Breast Cancer Care.

“It means that we have nearly reached our target and I’d like to thank everyone for their hard work over the course of the last 12 months.”
