Exclusive club for High Wycombe technician

A technician from a High Wycombe retailer has joined an exclusive club after being recognised for his outstanding loyalty.

Bill Williams from High Wycombe was presented with a Volkswagen Gold Pin for exceptional service to the brand at a black-tie event held recently at the Park Lane Hotel in London.

Citygate Volkswagen’s longest serving technician has clocked up more than three decades in the car industry, including 31 years working for Volkswagen.

The 48 year old said: “The job brings its own rewards through working closely with all  members of staff and working hard to make sure our philosophy of ‘customer first’ is at the forefront of everyone’s minds. However, I’m thrilled to have been awarded a Gold Pin, it’s a huge honour.”

Mark Hudson, Citygate Volkswagen Brand Manager, added: “Bill thoroughly deserves this award after serving so many years for the Volkswagen brand.

“His positive attitude is an inspiration to all of us at Citygate and I’m thrilled that his hard work and dedication has been officially recognised with the prestigious Gold Pin.”

Bill is one of around 20 people from Volkswagen to have received the Gold Pin in Volkswagen’s Commendation Awards 2011. Along with being an award winner, Bill is also one of Citygate’s licensed technicians, having gone through rigorous training throughout his career, the most recent relating to Advanced Diagnostic Techniques, Customer Handling and Coaching and Mentoring.
